2018年11月9日，国家综合性消防救援队伍授旗仪式在人民大会堂举行，习近平总书记对此队伍授旗时提出训词：对党忠诚、纪律严明、赴汤蹈火、竭诚为民。本系列纪录片针对总书记训词四个方面的总体要求，结合救援队伍的分布情况，从战斗力——启工中队、防范化解重大风险——布达拉宫中队、无私奉献——奇乾中队、百姓身边的守护神——花牌坊中队、现代化全灾种救援——中国国际救援队和森林直升机中队等具有代表性的五个中队或者大队，以点带面，点面结合，全面展示了应急消防工作的时代面貌。。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。
