故事发生在台湾南部边陲小镇。旅社因老板黑猫（陆奕静 饰）得名，她当年可是一名红极一时的舞女，如今的她不修边幅，整日胡吃海塞，完全没有了当年的风韵。旅社内住着三教九流，阿南（余佩真 饰）来自越南，只想挣点钱回家盖房子，身在异乡打工的她心中充满凄苦。老邓（夏靖庭 饰）一直暗恋黑猫，就算入狱也不曾断了念想，这不，一出狱便飞奔到黑猫旅社。浅野先生（荫山征彦 饰）来自日本，明明已经失业，偏偏要装出上班的样子。刘六（温吉兴 饰）因遭女儿指控，整日闭门谢客，连阿南打扫卫生都不能进入其房间。妓女玲珑（黄采仪 饰）年老色衰，与弱智儿子共处一室，她发现自已患了艾滋......。Joseph and Brenda have done what many only dream of and retired to the South of France to live out the rest of their days as if they were permanently on holiday.
