该剧讲述了武阳市双华县楼门乡，以乡党委副书记席飞为代表的乡、县干部及记者全心全意为百姓办实事的故事。为了解决老百姓吃水难的问题，他们发动群众一起开发水窖，使每家每户都不再为吃水发愁；为了让村里富起来，他们和群众一起上山修路，开发温泉，办乡镇企业，招商引资。席飞等人因极力反对为了应付上级领导的视查而弄虚作假，与乡党委副书记、乡长白仲军等无视农民利益的另一部分人发生了分歧和矛盾，由此展开斗争，并最终取得胜利，维护了广大老百姓的利益，赢得老百姓的爱戴和拥护。。Inspired by actual California desert occult activity, MAN’s SON centers around a young couple who travel to the desert to create an authentic audition tape for an up-and-coming Charles Manson film.
